Wheel Cylinder: Service and Repair

1. Remove brakes shoes as outlined. See Brakes and Traction Control/Brakes/Drum Brake System/Brake Shoe/Service and Repair.

Rear Wheel Cylinder Removal

CAUTION:

^ Brake fluid will damage the painted, plastic and rubber parts. Whenever handling brake fluid, protect the painted, plastic or rubber parts by covering

with a rag. If fluid does get on these parts, wipe it off with a clean cloth.

^ Never reuse the brake fluid once it has been drained. Use only DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid.

^ Apply sealant between the wheel cylinder and backing plate whenever the wheel cylinder has been removed.
