Idle Speed: Adjustments

1.

Start the engine and let it warm up to operating temperature (the cooling fan comes on).

2.

Connect a tachometer.

3.

Check that the throttle cable operates smoothly with no binding or sticking.

Check cable free play at the throttle linkage.

Deflection: 0.39 - 0.47 in (10-12 mm)

5.

Disconnect the 2P connector from the Electronic Air Control Valve (EACV).

6.

Check the idle speed in the no load condition in which the headlights, blower fan, rear defogger, cooling fan, and air conditioner are off.

Idle Speed:

Manual: 625 ± 50 rpm
A/T: (in "N" or "P") 625 ± 50 rpm
