Air/Fuel Mixture: Adjustments

NOTE: Air/fuel mixture is ECU controlled, it can only be checked, there are no provisions for adjustment.

1.

Run engine to operating temperature (cooling fan comes on).

2.

Connect a tachometer.

3.

Check and adjust idle speed as necessary (see IDLE SPEED under ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES).

4.

Connect a CO-meter and check CO content with accessories off. CO content should not exceed 0.1%.

5.

If CO content is out of specification, see DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING PROCEDURES.
Disconnect the tachometer.
