Clamp the lap belt buckle in a vise with soft jaws as shown.

Using an 8-10 mm (5/16-13/32 in.) drill bit, carefully drill into the pop rivet to remove the rivet head.

9.

Separate the shoulder belt retractor assembly from the lap belt buckle.

10.

Drive out the remaining piece of the rivet with a drift punch.

11.

Replace either the front shoulder belt retractor assembly or the lap belt buckle, as needed.

12.

Align the shoulder belt retractor and lap belt buckle, and clamp them with vise grips. Insert the new stainless steel pop rivet provided. Do not
substitute any other type of rivet
