Recall - Windshield Replacement

Attention Dealer Principal and Service Manager:

RECALL:

1990 Civic LX/DX Windshield Mounting

Problem Honda Motor Co. Ltd. has determined that certain 1990 Civics fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 212, "Windshield
Mounting." Poor adhesion between paint layers due to improper formulation of certain paint batches and overspraying during the paint finishing process
may result in separation between paint layers. In the event of a collision or accident, it is possible for the windshield to become dislodged and for
unrestrained occupants to be ejected through the windshield opening.

Customer Notification

All owners of aff ected vehicles will be notified of this campaign by telephone and by mail. Owners will be asked to contact their Honda dealer for the
necessary repair. See text of customer letter.
