Raffle From the Rear Package Tray

SYMPTOM
A rattle or vibration in the high mount brake light area.

PROBABLE CAUSE
A rib on the bottom of the rear package tray is rubbing on the body.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Apply wool felt to the package tray support rib.

REQUIRED MATERIALS
Wool Felt: P/N 06993-SA5-000, H/C 2086676

DIAGNOSIS
Test-drive the vehicle with someone riding in the rear seat. When you hear the noise, have your assistant press down on the package tray.

If the noise stops, go to REPAIR PROCEDURE.

If the noise continues, use a stethoscope or a Chassis Ear to locate the noise, then repair it.
