Throttle Body: Description and Operation
Description
The throttle body is either a single-barrel side-draft type (D16Y5, D16Y8, B16A2 engine) or a down-draft type (D16Y7 engine). The lower portion of
the throttle valve is heated by engine coolant from the cylinder head. The idle adjusting screw which regulates the bypass air is located on the top of the
throttle body.
