Fig. 14 Function control rod adjustment.

1.

Disconnect function cable and the HEAT/DEF and VENT/DEF rods.

2.

Set function control arm in DEF position and hold mode doors in DEF position, then snap control rods into retaining clips, Fig. 14.

3.

Move function control arm to VENT position and ensure doors operate smoothly.

4.

Adjust function cable as outlined.

Heater Valve Cable

1.

Ensure water valve control rod is properly installed.

2.

Secure cable in clamp on heater housing with end of cable projecting .020 inch from clamp, then connect cable end to operating lever.

3.

Place temperature control in COLD position.

4.

Fully close water valve, connect end of cable to valve lever, then secure cable housing in clamp.

Heater Valve Control Rod

1.

Disconnect water valve cable from valve control lever and disconnect water valve rod from air mix control arm.

2.

Set air mix control arm to COLD position, move control rod to COLD position, then snap rod into clip on air mix control arm, Fig. 15.

3.

Adjust water valve cable as outlined, then check operation of water valve and air mix door.

Recirculation Cable

1.

Slide recirculation control to FRESH position.

2.

Hold recirculation door open, connect cable end to door lever and secure cable housing in clamp.

3.

Move control level through full range of travel, ensuring door closes when lever is in REC position and opens fully with control in FRESH
position.
