Wind Noise from Either Side Mirror
SYMPTOM
Whistling heard from either outside mirror when driving at speeds over 40 mph. It becomes louder when the window is rolled down.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Remove the plate in the mirror base assembly..
1.
Pull the mirror back exposing the plastic plate.
2.
Hold the mirror in the open position by pressing the back of the mirror assembly towards the car with one hip.
CAUTION: Keep the mirror in the fully open position during the procedure. Injury to the hands and fingers could result if the mirror snaps back
unexpectedly.
3.
With a phillips screwdriver, remove and discard the two small screws and the plate.
