Hold the caliper pins with a wrench, being careful not to damage the pin boots. Remove the caliper bolts and caliper body from the caliper bracket.

Remove the pads and pad retainers from the caliper bracket.

4.

Remove any corrosion from the caliper bracket surfaces under the upper and lower pad retainers.

NOTE:

If the corrosion cannot be removed, replace the caliper assembly.

5.

Apply M-77 Assembly Paste to the areas indicated by the arrows.

6.

Clean the upper and lower pad retainers; remove any corrosion.

NOTE:

The upper and lower pad retainers are different; the lower one has two holes. Make sure you install the pad retainers correctly.
