Apply a liberal amount of grease to the new control pin, the control lever, and the cable end. Attach the cable end to the control lever, then insert
the new control pin into the control lever hole through the shift cable end, and secure the control pin with the new spring clip.
9.
Install the new shift cable cover, and torque the three mounting bolts to 9.8 N.m (7.2 lb-ft) in the sequence shown.
10.
Center-punch a completion mark above the seventh character of the engine compartment VIN.
