Rear Ceiling Light Flickers

SYMPTOM

The rear ceiling light flickers while driving.

PROBABLE CAUSE

Improperly adjusted or damaged tailgate switch.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Inspect the switch, and replace it if it is damaged. Check the tailgate adjustment.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Remove the tailgate switch. See page 22-97 of the 2002-04 CRV Service Manual.

2.

Inspect the tailgate switch:

If the contact tab is bent, replace the switch, then go to step 3.

If the contact tab is not bent, go to step 3.

3.

Install the tailgate switch.
