Check the tailgate for a flush fit with the body. Check for equal gaps (top, bottom, and both sides) between the tailgate and the body. Adjust the
tailgate if necessary. See page 20-123 of the service manual.

Check the tailgate striker and wedge adjustment. Adjust the striker and wedge if necessary. See page 20-124 of the service manual.
