SYMPTOM
The engine growls when running.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The water pump bearing is faulty.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the water pump.

DIAGNOSIS
NOTE:
Make sure the ChassisEAR microphone leads are not touching any rotating parts.
1.
Clip one of the microphones onto the water pump.
2.
Start the engine.

If the microphone is picking up a growling noise from the water pump, go to the REPAIR PROCEDURE.
