Set the new "A" pillar seal into position On each side, line up the inside edge of the small water diverter (molded into the top of the seal) with the
outside seam in the windshield header.

In this "dry set" position, carefully lay one corner of the seal over on the windshield, and apply a 6 mm bead of Cemedine to the header trough, the
end of the seam-filler strip in the header, and down the "A" pillar flange.
NOTE
Be careful to maintain a 6 mm bead of Cemedine down the pillar. If it looks too thin in some places, apply a double layer there to ensure proper bead
height.

Apply a 3 mm bead of Cemedine to the lower part of the "A" pillar.

Leave the white tape in place (it's covering the butyl adhesive), and install the "A" pillar seal in this sequence:

Press the upper end of the seal onto the flange at the corner of the "A" pillar.

Next, insert the lower end of the seal behind the molding, then attach it to the "A" pillar by installing its captive clip.

Attach the middle part of the seal to the "A" pillar flange.

Make certain the outer edge of the seal is straight and not distorted in any way.

Reinstall two screws and one clip at the top.

Repeat steps 8 thru 10 on the other side of the car.

To be sure the seal makes continuous contact with the Cemedine. push it down firmly into the header trough with a blunt tool. Push down with a
repeated rolling motion, to "walk" the tool across the seal from each end toward the middle.

Peel the white tape off the adhesive on each upper corner, then go to Roof Side Seals, step 1 (below); do hot press on the seal yet to make the
adhesive stick.
Roof Side Seals

Set the roof upside down on an appropriate pad so it won't get scratched.
