S/M Supplement: del Sol Water Leak Repair
(Supersedes 93-004, dated September 10, 1993)
PROBLEM
Water leaking from the roof or the door windows.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
This bulletin has been completely revised. If you haven't been trained in this repair by a Honda instructor, call your DSM and schedule the training
before you attempt to fix a leaking del Sol roof.

Follow the procedures under DIAGNOSIS:

Verify the leak as shown in the Water Leak Test.

Record the leak location, and choose the correct repair in Leak Locations and Repairs.

Inspect and adjust the seals indicated by DIAGNOSIS.
^
Replace seals that still leak after proper adjustment.
Because old and new seals do not fit together properly, you must replace all four seals if you replace any seal on a car manufactured before the following
VINs:
S: JHMEG1...RS006413
Si: JHMEH6...RS007531
VTEC: JHMEG2...RS002959

3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner: P/N 051135-08984 (1-quart can)
^
Cemedine Sealer: P/N 08712-0004, H/C 4601035 (3-ounce tube)
^
HondaBrite All Surface Cleaner (for cleanup): P/N 08732-0020A, H/C 3481298 (case of 12)
^
Silicone Grease: P/N 08798-9013, H/C 4642294 (or Lithium Dielectric Grease: P/N 08798-9001)

Plastic scraper (available from local paint stores)
