Vacuum Brake Booster Check Valve: Testing and Inspection
Testing Brake Booster/Valve

Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose at the booster or at the booster side of the valve.

Start the engine and let it idle. There should be vacuum. If no vacuum is available, the check valve is not working properly. Replace the check
valve (B16A2 engine, S model) or brake booster vacuum hose, with built-in check valve (D16Y7 and D16Y8 engines, Si & Si VTEC respectively)
and retest.
NOTE: Image is for the B16A2 engine type.
