Product Update Campaign: Condenser Fan Connector

BACKGROUND
The condenser fan connector on the A/C wire harness may be cross wired, causing the fan to run backwards. This can result in reduced air conditioning
performance when the vehicle is stopped or traveling at medium speeds (30 to 40 mph).

CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
All owners of affected vehicles will be notified by mail of this campaign, and asked to have their vehicles inspected for this condition. A copy of the
customer letter is at the end of this service bulletin.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Inspect the harness and, if necessary, reverse the wires in the A/C wire harness 2P connector for the condenser fan.

WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION

To submit a warranty claim, use the template claim option on the HONDANET 2000 service menu.

Inspection Procedure

Open the hood, and check the wire positions on the A/C wire harness 2P connector for the condenser fan.

If the wires are cross wired (incorrect) in the A/C wire harness 2P connector, go to REPAIR PROCEDURE.

If the wires are correctly installed in the A/C wire harness 2P connector, center punch a completion mark above the sixteenth digit of the engine
