3. Remove the splash guard (A) and the snap ring (B) from the knuckle (C).
4. Check the knuckle ring (A) for damage or deformation, and replace it if necessary.
NOTE:

During installation, install the new knuckle ring.

Before installing the knuckle ring, clean the mating surface of the knuckle.

Make sure to align the cutout portion (B) on the knuckle ring with the cutout portion (C) on the knuckle when installing it.

Be careful not to damage or deform the ring when installing it.
^
Make sure there is no gap between the mating surfaces of the knuckle ring and the knuckle.
5. Press the wheel bearing (A) out of the knuckle (B) using the special tools and a press.
