Temperature Lever Is Hard to Move
SYMPTOM
The temperature control lever is hard to slide back and forth.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The curve in the air mix control cable is too tight, causing the cable to bind.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the air mix control cable with the new cable listed under PARTS INFORMATION.
1.
Write down the customer's radio station presets, and be sure to have the anti-theft code. Then disconnect the negative battery cable.
2.
Remove the dash lights brightness controller from the dashboard lower cover, and disconnect the connector.
3.
Remove the dashboard lower cover (three screws and five clips) to gain access to the center console mounting screws.
