Dashboard Compartment Latch Cover Comes Off
PROBLEM
The latch cover can pop off when someone tries to open the dashboard compartment door. The release button and return spring then fall out and can get
lost.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the latch cover, release button. and return spring with the kit listed under PARTS INFORMATION.
1.
If the latch cover is still in place, use a small screwdriver to remove it by carefully prying on the top left and top right corners. Hold the release
button so it and the return spring do not go flying when the cover comes off.
2.
Place the new return spring from the kit in the groove in the handle assembly.
