Odyssey L4-2.2L SOHC (1995)
Charge Lamp/Indicator: Testing and Inspection
1. Inspect No. 4 fuse in under-dash fuse/relay box. Replace if necessary
2. Disconnect and ground No. 4 terminal of 4-P electrical connector from alternator , then turn ignition switch to On.
a. If charging system lamp does not illuminate, then inspect condition of warning lamp. If warning lamp is OK, then repair open in white/blue
wire.
b. If charging system lamp illuminates, then proceed to next numerical step.
3. Disconnect No. 4 terminal of 4-P electrical connector from ground.
a. If charging system lamp goes off, then circuit is OK.
b. If charging system lamp remains illuminated, then proceed to next numerical step.
4. Turn ignition switch Off, then disconnect ABS control unit and integrated control unit. Turn ignition switch On.
a. If charging system lamp illuminates, then turn ignition switch Off and repair open in blue/white wire.
b. If charging system lamp remains off, then proceed to next numerical step.
5. Check for voltage at No. 3 terminal of 4-P electrical connector.
a. If voltage is not as specified, then turn ignition Off and repair open in blue/white wire.
b. If voltage OK, then proceed to next numerical step.
6. Connect 4-P electrical connector to alternator and turn ignition switch On.
a. If charging system lamp remains off, then perform Charging System Test.See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Testing and Inspection
b. If charging system lamp illuminates, then circuit is OK.
