Parking Brake Shoe: Service and Repair
Assembly

1. Apply Molykote 44 MA grease to the sliding surface of the pivot pin, and insert the pin into the brake shoe.
2. Install the parking brake lever and wave washer on the pivot pin, and secure with the U-clip.

NOTE:  Pinch the new U-clip securely to prevent the pivot pin from coming out of the brake shoe.

3. Connect the parking brake cable to the parking brake lever.

4. Apply Molykote 44 MA grease on each sliding surface.

CAUTION:  Contaminated brake linings or drums reduce stopping ability. Keep grease or oil off the brake linings. Wipe any excess grease off the
