Child Seat Tether Attachment: Service and Repair

Child Seat Anchor Plate 
Attachment points are provided for a second or third seat mounted child restraint system which uses a top tether.

USA model: 
For a child seat to be installed on the third seat, the attachment points are located on the rear trim panel, just behind the third seat-back.

NOTE:  To install a child seat on the third seat, select the attachment point you want to use. Install the child seat anchor plate securely.

Canada model: 
For a child seat to be installed on the second or third seat, the attachment points are located in the third seat cushion mat, just behind the second
seat-back, and on the rear trim panel, just behind the third seat-back.

NOTE: 
- To install a child seat on the second seat, fold the third seat into the rear floor. Select the attachment point you want to use, and pull up the carpeting at

the U-shaped slit.

- To install a child seat on the third seat, select the attachment point you want to use, and remove the plug cover from the attachment point of the rear

trim panel. Install the child seat anchor plate securely.

NOTE: 
- Do not remove the toothed washer from the child seat anchor plate. Use the child seat anchor plate with the toothed washer attached to it.
- When installing a child seat on the second or third seat, follow the instructions of the manufacturer of the child seat
- Additional anchor plates are available.
