Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair
1. Remove the steering column covers.
2. Disconnect the shift lock solenoid 2P connector.
3. Remove the shift lock extension.
4. Remove the screw and detent spring washer, then remove the shift lock solenoid.
5. Install the shift lock solenoid in the reverse order of removal.

Check that the shift lock stop does not protrude when the shift lock solenoid is ON.

Check that the shift lock stop protrudes more than 7.5 mm (0.30 in) when the shift lock solenoid is OFF.
