With one of the voltmeter test leads, backprobe terminal No. 3 of the junction switch connector, and ground the other lead. Then close the sliding
door, and watch the voltage reading as the door closes.

Does the voltage drop to less than 1 V when the door reaches the half-latched position? 

Yes - Check terminal No. 8 of the power sliding door control unit connector A (26P) for a poor fit. ** Replace or repair the terminal as needed. **

No - Go to step 9.

With the sliding door open, use a small screwdriver to push the latch into the half-latched position.
