Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair

Parking Brake Cable Replacement 

NOTE: 
-

The parking brake cable must not be bent or distorted. This will lead to stiff operation and premature failure.

Refer to the Exploded View as needed during this procedure.

REAR DRUM BRAKE: '99-01 models 
1. Release the parking brake pedal fully, and disconnect the parking brake cable from the pedal.
2. Remove the brake shoe assembly.
3. Remove the parking brake cable mounting bolts.
