Odyssey EX V6-3.5L (1999)
*Before starting this procedure, make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the radio and for the navigation system.*
1.
Verify the customer's complaint by test-driving the vehicle on a rough road. Note what conditions cause the door alarm to go off.
NOTE:
You may need to turn into a steep driveway at an angle, or drive over a tall speed bump at an angle, to cause enough body flex to get the alarm to
beep.

Park the vehicle on a level surface.
3.
Open one of the sliding doors.
4.
Press each pin on the door side of the junction switch to check for independent movement.
5.
If any junction switch pin moves when another is pushed, remove the switch from the door and separate the junction switch pin wires from each
other. Reinstall the junction switch.
6.
Insert the Door Alignment Tool, with its longer pins facing out, into the junction switch on the B-pillar.
7.
Loosen the two screws in the body-side junction switch until the switch can be moved, but will still retain a set position.
8.
Use the switch on the dashboard (below the left air vent) to close the sliding door. Make sure that the contacts in the door junction switch align
with the pins on the special tool.
9.
Open the door, and carefully remove the tool without moving the junction switch.
10.
Torque the junction switch mounting screws to 11.7 Nm (8.5 lb-ft).
