Engine Controls - Noise From Under Dash

Noise From Under the Dashboard While Driving Between 50 and 56 mph
SYMPTOM
A buzzing, growling, pinging, humming, fluttering, grinding, or rattling noise coming from under the dashboard while driving between 50 and 56 mph.
This noise can be heard while driving at a steady speed or when lightly accelerating with the torque converter in lock-up.
PROBABLE CAUSE
A resonance from the engine compartment is transmitted through the shift cable into the passenger compartment.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the PCM with the appropriate countermeasured part. The countermeasured PCM reduces the probability of engine resonance.
