Put a star washer between the ground terminal and the body. Reinstall the ground bolt, and torque the ground bolt to 9 Nm (7 lb-ft).

At the right B-pillar, locate and remove the ground bolt for G581.
25.
Repeat steps 21 thru 23.
26.
Reinstall the left and right B-pillar trim pieces.
27.
Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
28.
Reset the clock, enter the anti-theft code(s), and enter the radio station presets.
29.
Verify the repair by driving the vehicle under the same conditions as in step 1.
