Apply a small amount of grease to each switch pin on the B-pillar.
12.
Turn the main switch off, then close and open the door manually. Verify the junction switch alignment by checking the B-pillar side of the switch:
Each switch pin should have a small grease dimple in its center.

If the grease dimples are not centered on every pin, adjust the junction switch as necessary.

Use contact cleaner on a clean shop towel to remove the grease from the junction switch pins and contacts.
NOTE:
All junction switch pins and contacts must be tree of grease. Failure to thoroughly clean them may create more power sliding door problems.
15.
Repeat steps 3 thru 14 on the other power sliding door.
*16. Write down the radio station presets.
17.
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Failure to disconnect the negative cable may damage the power sliding door control units.*
18.
Remove the left and right B-pillar trim pieces. Refer to page 20-56 of the 1999-00 Odyssey Service Manual.
19.
Check whether G551 and G581 have star washers between the ground terminal and the body.

If they have star washers, go to step 26.

If they do not have star washers, go to step 20.
20.
At the left B-pillar, locate and remove the ground bolt for G551.
21.
Use sandpaper to remove the paint around the ground bolt hole.
*22. Clean the paint out of the ground bolt hole by running a 6 mm x 1.0 tap through the hole.*
