If the buckle has an affected lot number, go to step 1 of REPAIR PROCEDURE.

If the buckle does not have an affected lot number, go to step 3 of REPAIR PROCEDURE.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Remove the seat belt buckle assembly mounting bolt, and discard the assembly.

2.

Install the new seat belt buckle assembly, and torque the mounting bolt to 39 N.m (29 lb-ft).

3.

Fill out and attach a Seat Belt Buckle Recall Campaign Completion label on the driver's doorjamb, above the latch. If a seat belt buckle label is
already there, remove it, and attach a new label. (Your service manager was sent a supply of the labels when this service bulletin was posted. If
you need more labels, use reorder number Y0464).
