Steering Gearbox Locknut Wrench Set, 17 mm

This tool is used to adjust the free play in the steering wheel at the steering gearbox. This tool and procedure are currently not shown in the Service
Manual or the Service Manual Supplement.

Inspecting Free Play in the Steering Wheel

1.

Start the engine, and position the front wheels straight ahead.

2.

Place a piece of masking tape on the steering wheel, and make a reference mark on the tape.
