Popping Sound From the Front Suspension
SYMPTOM
A spring-type pop is heard from the front suspension when it moves.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The suspension is not well lubricated, causing the height control arms, torsion bars, and frame to bind against each other.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Lubricate all metal-to-metal contact areas of the front suspension.
1.
Mark the torsion bar and its mounts for later reinstallation.
2.
Remove the height control arm and the torsion bar. Refer to page 3C-5 of the service manual.
