Remove the EGR pipe, but leave the EGR valve attached to the common chamber.

Remove the throttle body from the common chamber.

7.

Remove the common chamber, cover the intake ports with a clean shop towel, then set the throttle body on top of the towel. (Refer to section 6A1
of the Service Manual for the removal procedure.)

8.

Remove both cylinder head covers. (Refer to section 6A1 of the Service Manual for the removal procedure.)

Remove the spark plug tubes:

Assemble the removal tool by attaching the clamping nut and the remover to the arm. Make sure a few threads on the end of the arm show
through, past the remover.
