Ticking Noise From the Engine
SYMPTOM
Ticking noise from the engine during normal operation.
PROBABLE CAUSE
One or more hydraulic lash adjusters (HLAs) does no fully extend due to varnish build-up inside. This condition results from exceeding the required oil
and filter change intervals. Severe driving conditions require (more frequent oil and filter changes. (See the appropriate Passport Owner's Manual for
details.)
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Locate the noisy HLA(s), and clean it (them).

None. This is not a warranty matter (see PROBABLE CAUSE).
Repair Procedure
1.
Drain the engine oil, replace the oil filter with the one listed in PARTS INFORMATION, and refill the crankcase with 0W-30 Mobil 1(R)
synthetic engine oil.
