Inspect the front seat belt buckle assemblies to determine if they are in the affected lot number range. Replace all assemblies in the affected range with
the new assemblies listed under PARTS INFORMATION.

Inspection

[NEW]
1.

Push down the release button on the buckle assembly and read the lot number stamped in the housing.

LX and EX: Inspect both the driver's and front passenger's seat belt buckle assemblies.

^

DX: Inspect the driver's seat belt buckle assembly only. The passenger's buckle assembly is not affected.

[NEW]
2.

Determine if the seat belt buckle assembly falls within the affected lot number range.

LX and EX

- k3X05 to K3X06
- K3Y01 to K3Y09
- K3Z01 to K3Z05

DX (driver's side only)

- K3Y01 to K3Y09
- k3Z01 to K3Z05

If the seat belt buckle assembly is within the affected lot number range, go to the Repair Procedure and then to Completion.

[NEW]

If the seat belt buckle assembly is not within the affected lot number range, go to Completion.

NOTE: 

If the driver's side seat belt buckle assembly is affected, and you do not have a replacement in stock, the customer must be notified that the vehicle is
unsafe to drive until it is repaired. If the customer does not have alternate transportation, offer the customer the use of a rental car. If the customer
insists on driving the vehicle despite the unsafe condition, note this on the repair order and have the customer sign it. If it is the passenger's side seat
belt buckle assembly that is affected, the customer must be cautioned to not carry a front seat passenger until the vehicle is repaired.

Repair Procedure

Remove the seat belt buckle assembly mounting bolt. If it is the driver's side assembly, disconnect the electrical connector.
