Prepare a mixture of 75 percent water and 25 percent isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol).

Spray the affected grille area with the water-alcohol mixture to help with application of the anti-abrasion tape.

Remove the tape backing. Spray the tape adhesive with the water-alcohol mixture, and carefully apply the tape to the grille. Be sure the tape covers
the affected area.

Starting at the center of the tape and working outward, use a small squeegee to push out any excess water-alcohol mixture and air bubbles from
under the tape. Use a pin to puncture any remaining air bubbles, and push the air out with the squeegee.

7.

Remove the screw, the two small washers, the large rubber washer, and the well nut from each end mounting tab. Discard the screw and the well
nut.
