Rear Brake Squeal
SYMPTOM
The rear brakes squeal when you apply the brakes.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The brake shoe linings do not contact the brake drums evenly.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the brake shoes, and adjust the parking brake.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
NOTE:
Replace the brake shoes on one side at a time so you can use the opposite side for reference during installation.
1.
Raise the vehicle, and make sure it's securely supported.
2.
Release the parking brake, then remove the rear wheels and the brake drums on both sides.
