Remove the parking brake lever from the rear brake shoe.

Make sure the backing plate is clean, then lubricate all metal-to-metal contact points with Molykote 77 Grease.

Install the new brake shoes in the reverse order of removal. Reuse all hardware except the horseshoe clip for the parking brake lever.

8.

To install the brake shoes on the other rear wheel, repeat steps 3 thru 7.

9.

Reinstall the brake drums and wheels, then torque the lugs nuts to 118 N.m (87 lb-ft).

10.

Remove the rear console.

11.

Loosen the lock nut and the adjusting nut on the parking brake cable until the cable is slack.

12.

Firmly apply and then release the brake pedal several times until both rear wheel self-adjusters stop clicking.

13.

Remove the rear wheels and the brake drums.
