Product Update: Passport Accelerator Pedal Pad
BACKGROUND
The plastic accelerator pedal pad may fall off if the attachment clip cracks or breaks. It this occurs, the driver can continue to drive the vehicle until the
pedal pad is replaced.
CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
All owners of affected vehicles will be mailed a notification of this product update. An example of the notification letter is at the end of this service
bulletin.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the accelerator pedal pad.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Push the accelerator pedal pad up and to the right. Pivot the pad to the right to unclip the upper retaining clip from the actuator rod.
2.
Pivot the pad outward, and slide it to the left to remove it from the actuator rod.
3.
Slide the bottom loop of the new accelerator pedal pad (see PARTS INFORMATION ) onto the actuator rod.
4.
Place the accelerator pedal pad against the actuator rod. Pull the pad down and to the left to clip the upper mounting clip around the actuator rod.
Make sure the pad is attached securely.
