Remove the yoke plug by turning it counterclockwise with the edge of the wrench as shown. When the plug comes out, the blue yoke spring will
come out with it, and the steering yoke may slip out too. If the steering yoke doesn't come out, hang a clean container under the opening in case it
slips out on its own.

NOTE: The steering yoke is coated with a special grease and must not get contaminated. Do not apply extra grease to the steering yoke; it would
invalidate the preload calibration you'll do later in this procedure.

Remove all sealer residue from the yoke plug, the locknut, and the housing with a wire brush. Do not erase the marks you made in step 9.

Apply a thin coating of gasket maker to the yoke plug threads above the threads you counted in step 10.

If the steering yoke came out, reinstall it in the rack housing, and hold it in place. Then stand the yellow yoke spring upright on the yoke plug, and
thread the plug into the housing, by hand, until it stops.

Tighten the yoke plug with the edge of the wrench until you turn the mark on the plug past the mark on the housing. Then turn the plug back until
both marks line up.
