Removing Snap Ring

9. Snap ring.

-

Push in the primary piston and remove the snap ring from the cylinder body

10. Primary piston assembly

-

Do not remove the spring from the piston.

11. Secondary piston assembly

-

Do not remove the spring from the piston.

12. Cylinder assembly

INSPECTION AND REPAIR

Visual Check - Make necessary parts replacement if wear, distortion, cuts, nick, corrosion, or other abnormal condition are found. Check the
following parts.

Cylinder body

-

Piston cup and spring

-

Reservoir

-

Grommet

-

Cover

-

Diaphragm

CLEAN

-

Clean all parts in clean denatured alcohol.

-

Dry with unlubricated compressed air.

-

Blow out all passages in the master cylinder.

REASSEMBLY

Cylinder Assembly

1. Cylinder assembly.

-

Lubricate the master cylinder bore with clean rubber grease. (arrowed portion of image)
