Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Right Hand Side

REMOVAL 
 
NOTE:  Remove battery ground cable
 

1. 3rd crossmember & transfer under cover
2. Exhaust front pipe

-

Remove three stud nuts and three bolts and nuts, then disconnect front pipe.

3. Heat protector

-

Remove five fixing bolts, then the heat protector.

4. Engine hanger

-

Remove bolts and nuts that secure the hanger to the exhaust manifold and cylinder head.

5. Exhaust manifold 

-

Remove seven nuts, then the exhaust manifold.

INSTALLATION

1. Exhaust manifold [5]

-

Tighten bolts to 57 Nm (42 ft. lbs.).

2. Engine hanger [4]
3. Heat protector [3]
4. Exhaust front pipe [2]

-

Tighten three stud nuts and three bolts and nuts to:
-

Stud nuts 67 Nm (49 ft. lbs.).

-

Bolts and nuts 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).

5. 3rd crossmember & transfer under cover [1]
