Braking Sensor/Switch: Description and Operation
The EBCM receives input from the same brake pedal switch as the rear brake lights and cruise control system (stoplight switch.) The stoplight switch
closes whenever the brake pedal is depressed, turning on the brake lamps and signaling the cruise control and EBCM that the vehicle is braking. The
stoplamp switch must be closed to enable ABS operation.
