4. Lower ball joint.

CAUTION:  Be careful not to break the ball joint boot.

5. Upper ball joint. 

CAUTION:  Be careful not to break the ball joint boot.

6. Steering knuckle assembly.

7. Steering knuckle

INSPECTION 

Make necessary correction or parts replacement if wear, damage, corrosion or any other abnormal condition are found through inspection. Check the
following parts:

a. Steering knuckle.
b. Knuckle arm.
c. Needle bearing.
d. Thrust washer.

INSTALLATION

1. Steering knuckle.
2. Steering knuckle assembly.
3. Upper ball joint. Tighten the nut to the specified torque, with just enough additional torque to align cotter pin holes. Install new cotter pin. Torque

to 98 Nm (72 ft. lbs.).
