Malfunction Indicator Lamp - A/T: Testing and Inspection
Check Trans Indicator
Find "CHECK TRANS" indicator and verify if it is:
A. Flashing. See "Diagnostic Check". Refer to On-Board Diagnostics/Diagnostic Check. See: Transmission Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection
B. Staying "ON". Do the "Check Trans Check". See: "Check Trans" Check
C. Is never "ON" when the Ignition key is turned "ON". Do the "Check Trans Check".
D. Is "ON" during 2 to 3 seconds at ignition but "OFF" after normal operation. No Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) or malfunction.
