Differential Cover Gasket

REMOVE:  

1. Cover bolts and identification tags. Place a container under the carrier to catch the lubricant.
2. Cover from the axle housing. Pry the cover loose.
3. Lubricant from the axle housing.

NOTE:  Wipe clean or wash down gasket surfaces on the axle housing and the carrier cover.

INSTALL: 

1. New silicone rubber gasket.
2. Cover and identification tags.
3. Bolts in a crosswise pattern.

Torque 41 Nm (31 ft. lbs.).

4. Add Lubricant to a level within 9.5 mm (3/8 inch) of the filler plug hole.
