Fender Molding Comes Off.

SYMPTOM
The fender piece of the optional body side molding comes off.

PROBABLE CAUSE
There is not enough adhesive to hold the fender molding in place.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the missing fender molding using 3M Black Super Silicone Sealant.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Use a suitable cleaning solvent to remove any wax or paint sealer from the molding mounting area. Use isopropyl alcohol to remove any residue
remaining from the cleaner.

2.

At air temperatures of 70°F or less: Warm the fender area with a heat gun or a heat lamp.
