Accessory Air Deflector Update

Problem
The accessory air deflector rubs the top of the grille, and/or the air deflector end mounting tabs are loose.

Corrective Action
Apply a clear anti-abrasion tape to the top of the grille, and replace the end mounting tab screws and well nuts on the air deflector using the well nut kit
listed under PARTS INFORMATION.

NOTE:

Inspect vehicles equipped with accessory air deflectors whenever they return for service. If there is  no clear anti-abrasion tape applied to the top of
the grille, do the CORRECTIVE ACTION.

Well Nut Kit:

P/N 2-90137-811-0, H/C 5899711
(Kit contains two screws and two well nuts)

Anti-Abrasion Tape:

P/N 2-90137-812-0, H/C 5899729
(Package includes one strip of anti-abrasion tape and one alcohol wipe packet. Discard the alcohol wipe packet; it is not to be used in this repair.)

Open the hood, and determine the area where the air deflector contacts the grille.

Use a small amount of 3M General Purpose Adhesive cleaner (3M P/N 051135-08984 ) on a clean shop towel to  clean the affected area on the
